Biography

John has over 28 years of experience in operations leadership. He began his career at Motorola Semiconductor and went on to lead operations in small and large global enterprises. John excels in driving continuous improvement initiatives in all types of environments ranging from complex manufacturing to service organizations. He combines a technical background with a passion to develop strong team-based cultures through his servant-leadership approach.

John's industry experience includes semiconductor, software/IT, education and medical device manufacturers. He served in senior leadership roles at Microsoft, PASCO Scientific, Motorola Semiconductor and most recently served as CEO of SYNEO, LLC, a provider of world-class automation and handling equipment for the medical device and EMS verticals. John has been recognized as a top performer at every company he has worked with.

John is known for his transformational leadership through establishing strategic vision and hands-on implementations to move organizations to new performance/business levels. He helped Microsoft reconfigure its global supply chain serving top PC manufactures by reducing lead times by more than 90 percent and eliminating tens of millions in costs to customers.

John most recently led SYNEO as its CEO and established the company as a worldwide brand through footprint expansion into Asia and Europe. John multiplied revenue streams by increasing product lines and moving the company into new verticals serving the data center infrastructure space. Significant top and bottom line improvements resulted in the implementation of a broad strategic vision under John including doubling of EBITDA and driving several patent filings for the company. Most importantly, a dramatic impact on culture elevated the company to a desired place to work for employees. As a result, John’s charter to turn the business around was a major success and positioned the company for sale to strategic or PE buyers.

John holds an executive certification in technology management from Stanford Graduate School of Management in addition to an MBA and a bachelor's degree in operations management

John grew up in Texas but has lived in many locations throughout the United States and travelled extensively building global teams. John is a husband, father to four adult children, and loves the Lord. In his spare time, he attempts to play better than bogey golf and practice his tenor saxophone.
