Beth has always had a creative flare and an intuitive sense for business. An entrepreneur at heart, she has been founding, operating, buying and selling businesses for more than 25 years, all while raising a family.
A self-taught digital marketing expert, Beth loves helping people move their business to the next level while maintaining the balance necessary when raising children. She understands the benefits and challenges of operating a family business, and has a desire to help other families run their companies instead of letting their companies run their life.
In 1995, Beth and her husband, Mike, created an onsite fleet maintenance company. For the next 18 years, they successfully grew and operated that business. Beth nurtured customer relationships and managed the office, sales, personnel and systems. To expand their service offering, she and Mike completed a few strategic acquisitions, including a truck washing franchise and two licensed, fixed-location maintenance automotive facilities.
During these same 18 years, Beth and Mike grew their family and Beth took on homeschooling their five children in addition to her duties managing the business. After exiting the business in 2004, she decided to focus full-time on her family. Beth worked hard to develop a robust curriculum and shared the resources she found helpful with other homeschooling families. These efforts eventually led Beth to her next entrepreneurial effort, Techie Homeschool Mom, and she has since developed several online businesses.
Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education and teaching from Penn State. She taught herself web design, graphic design and digital marketing, all of which have allowed her to successfully market her Techie Homeschool Mom brand to thousands of homeschooling families across the country.
